I need creative ideas or segments that I could possibly incorporate into the show to catch the audience's attention and keep it. PLEASE HELP!

Look, its not that republicans or democrats are wrong and imposing wrong policies, or parties going down the drain. Whenever you are in positions of power like the democrats are now, and the republicans were before, there are things that regular civilians dont even know about that they have to deal with. Im not some weird conspiracy freak but the government does deal with things that are pretty high up there. Once you start learning about those deep dark dirty things that politicians have to deal with, the game changes and you have to change your policies. Politics is a dirty game, and sometimes you do what you have to do.

Use your surrondings. Like businesses. Do a segment where you call a play that is around you and prank them on the air. Do a Top Ten List of anything that you think is funny. Call local Celebs in your area and have them on-air ,showing a different side of them . Like the Mayor singing ,Chief of Police favorite recipes. Keep it simple .

I know that people like calling in. Been done I am sure - not knowing the nature of your show I would recommend a serial thing that offers the installments each day - people are hooked on reality shows so you just need a theme - people are hooked the misery and tough luck of OTHERS - it detracts from their own dailt grind.
Good luck - i do not watch reality shows but millions do.

Yeah! Watch "The O'Riley Factor" and "Hannity & Colmes" on the Fox News Channel to get an idea for your format because they're the top rated shows of their kind on T.V.
People love 'em or hate 'em... either way you get the ratings, (and the listeners!).

If you have any famuse singers on it like for guest speakers I would listen. I listen to aftermidnite because they have guest speakers on it and they are funny.
