I was watching a TV show on either DIscovery,TLC, or some other channel and they had this old scientist possibly from england who does these experiments for everyday human life and dumbs it down to us to show us whats going on. One experiment he did was he got a whole bunch of young people super super drunk and brought them to an apartment to find out how physically we get drunk and what works best for hangovers

Anyway he did one experiment about the toilet & germs saying that each time we flush the toilet thousands or millions of fecal matter particles so small we cant see with our eyes are aerosoled into the air and spread through out your house. If someone can give me the name of this show and also if you think this theory is correct.

I hope I gave enough information, Thanks

It's Dr. Know...the episode is THE TRUTH ABOUT TOILETS — Who is washing their hands after using the bathroom and who is not? Dr. Know, played by real-life physician Paul Trotman, rigs a hidden camera to capture the germy-handed bandits. Everyone has a public bathroom horror story. Are they as nasty as they smell or appear? Is the men's room always a cesspool compared to the women's? Dr. Know enlists a microbiologist to ferret out fact from fiction in popular germ myths. And do you get an extra kick from champagne? Dr. Know studies the bubbly and then distills the ingredients that cause a hangover. The myth that clear alcohol causes less of a hangover than dark drinks is put to the test.

It was Mythbusters. Adam and Jamie done that experiment. It is a correct theory. I have seen it done before. The most profound thing I learned was to put your toothbrush in a case in a drawer because if you leave it sitting out like in a cup or something similar, then the airborne germs attach themselves to the bristles and each time you brush your teeth, you're brushing with poo germs. Lovely thought, isn't it?

BTW, the same thing applies to contact lens cases. If you leave the case sitting out in the bathroom, then the germs attach to the outside of the case. Then when you pick the case up, you are touching all of the poo germs. Then, you are reaching into the case to put your contacts in your eyes. This could cause an infection. Just some info.
