Sometimes they haunt me, but most of the time I try to look forward instead of back. Regrets are in the past, and there's not much I can do about them; the only thing I can affect is the present.

yes, no matter how hard I try, my true regrets still haunt me. At times I will not even know they are obtainable and some one will say something, a song will come on the radio, something will come on TV, whatever. . . I can go back and relive the the guilt as if it were happening right that moment.

No, I try to let them go. Plus most of the things I regret aren't going to affect me later on in life, so I learn from them, then forget about them.

Occasionally the thought of a regret comes up into my conscious mind. I see it, feel it (don't dwell on it, that's useless), then remind myself I did the best I could at that time (forgiveness), then put something else onto my mind. Over time they lose their emotional intensity (self torture), even if their image returns.
