Impluse, Cyborg, Aquaman, and Green Arrow all had hoods in their uniforms... Does anyone think there was a meaning to that?

In Kevin Smith's film "Dogma" all the angels had hooded sweatshirts or hooded shirts on, the hood was supposed to be in lew of a halo...

Does anyone think that the hoods in Smallville represent caps/cowls/masks or something like that?

I think its like a pre-cowl sort of thing, in that it hides their face, but doesn'y look too abnormal. one could assume that as they mature and figure out how to better perform there super-heroics that their costumes would evolve also, leading to a cowl which couldn't accidentally blow down and expose their Identity.

SV does attempt to ground itself in a sense of 'warped' reality, in that unless people possess abilities they tend not to see that others have them, i.e. few non-meteor freaks believe in the existence of meteor freaks, and the ones who believe tend not to assume their existence beyond the ones they've met. (Chloe is the biggest defender of their existence, yet she denied all of the signs in Clark until she saw him catch a car and speed away)

Too the person asking about use of Impulse instead of Flash, as Bart's code name, that has to due with a 'Flash' movie being in works, so like Batman, they cannot use the name. However, since Flash has had at least 3 seperate Identities(Wally West, Barry Allen, Jay Garrick)and Bart was introduced in season 4 already, and had ID's in all of the names it was never defined which of the 3 he really was, so SV can still use Bart, and the Film can still use any of the other 3 aliases.

Yeah, I think so. Just like Bruce Willis in M. Shylaman Knight's film "Unbreakable".

It's a convenient way to shield their faces from security cameras, and be fashionable in today's hoodie-style clothing.

Weapon-X, Impulse (Bart Allen) is the character introduced on Smallville, not Barry Allen the orginal Flash, or Wally West the original Kid Flash who later became the Flash.

So this episode really had two future Justice Leaguers (Aquaman and Green Arrow) and two Teen Titans (Cyborg and Impulse).

Hoods are in, Masks are out....Damn, where are the days some villain would try to unmask Batman?? The closest we've had is when Mr Burns unmasked Homer as the Pieman!!!

I thought they were just trying to still have their Justice League outfits but add a cool modern twist to 'em.
