No. Actually, this has been a big problem in my relationship lately. My boyfriend came from a really traditional family - mom cooks, cleans, does parenting, dad works and teaches his boys to "be men". He wants a "yes, dear" girl and I'm just not that kind of person. I want to be able to make my own choices and have my own friends, and not be in a relationship with someone who bosses me around.

theres nothing wrong with taking charge of things and making decisions --well..but dominant is too strong of a word.

my hus comes from a country where they are the dominant ones. only thing is i am dominant also.

Sometimes, but it depends on the situation. I don't want him to boss me around, but I do want him to stand up and protect us like a man if something happens (which he does). I also don't want him to NOT ask my opinion about things he does around here, like paint color etc.
