I bought a wired controller for my Windows XP SP2, but when I go to the installer link, it doesn't appear. Do I need Windows Vista?

I had the same problem but when i went to the game i was using it in, i selected options/control/.. and it was there as one of the controll devices(keyboard, mouse etc.) btw windows vista isn't even out yet lol it seems like it with all the advertising and stuff doesn't it =D
