I grew up watching a program called the Saturday Night Shocker on the local station. It showed all these classic horror movies. I can only remember one movie giving me nightmares (and I was 8-10 at the time). It was Phantasm.
The only other movie to give me nightmares was the Day After (the tv movie about nuclear war), but I'm not sure if you can call it a horror movie.

When I was really little and I mean 3 I watched Alice in Wonderland and the Jaborwocki (I'm not sure if that's how you spell it) scared the living daylights out of me. And since then i haven't watched very many scary movies or horror movies, although the Michael Myers things are pretty freaky.

The Creature from the Black Lagoon. An old movie from around 1955 but still as the saying says .....they don't make them like they used to...

Hostel. It is the only scary movie that I have ever seen that really freaked me out and almost made me vomit because of all of the gore.

Definitely Amityville. If my husband wants to freak me out, all he has to do is say " Get out !! " in that creepy voice and i freak out and cant sleep or stand being alone in the house !!!
