my gilrfriend does not know how to put in her nose ring

Give it and your hands, (nails included) a good cleaning

Center:
Remove the ball, put it through like an earring would be done, replace the ball.

Side stud:
Use a small pair of alcohol cleaned needlenose pliers (jewelers style) if you have too much trouble getting a good grip with your fingers, gently, carefully and steadilly remove the backing with the pliers while firmly grasping the top with your other hand. Replace as you would an earring.

Give it a good cleaning.

It will be best to have her do this herself, as she can more adequately judge the pressure being applied and therefore lower the risk of injury.

If you still have trouble or are not confident you can do this yourselves, go to a professional piercer. They generally charge nothing for changing the piercing the first time.

You don't insert it - leave her nose as she was born with it. One yank on that ring and she will have an ugly tear and scar. Yuck!

You don't. You throw it away discovering what a terrible decision that was. If not now then 5-10 years from now when you look back at yourself and discover how foolish it made you look.
