I know there is a lot of football on TV, but there are as many playing in the other positions as there are left wingers! Maybe it is because Man U and Chelsea are on so much and the only ones you seem to notice are Ryan Giggs and Arjen Robben.

TV is dominated by people from university backgrounds who either wanted to be entertainers or wanted to inform the world. They left their colleges with degrees and high hopes that, in their small way, they would change the world for the better through communication, and were taken up by similar thinking people, who had, in their turn, been taken up by similar thinking people.
Sadly, or otherwise, it is people with a leaning toward the left that tend to take that view.
People who lean toward the right are much more likely to seek their futures, selfishly some might say, in more commercial enterprise. Producing "things" rather than "ideas", and the profits that accrue to their companies, and themselves, as a result.

Give some examples!
If I understand you correctly, I fear that it is a media trick to brainwash our stupid little minds into believing change is just around the corner. I lived most of my teenage years under a conservative rule, and to be honest very little has changed in my view of things in the last decade.
Maybe I'm out of my box here. Please give some examples though ;)

The right wing say that TV is too left wing and the left wing say it is too rightist. They must have the balance in proportion then.
