ignore him completely. Guys like that are looking for a reaction. He is probably trying to make you and your friend fight so he can take you out of the picture and hog your friend to himself. Don't give him the satisfaction, but don't pretend it didn't happen either.
Don't be mean to him, but don't be nice. Just ignore him. Make sure your friend knows what he said, but let her know you still love her. That will get him back when he sees his gf hanging out with you still.

Your best friend should step in and tell her moron of a boyfriend that he owes you a big apology. If she doesn't, I wouldn't want anything to do with him or her ever again.

tell your best friend and ask her to talk to him about it. and plus, if he ever calls you that again, threaten him with the fact that ur best friends with his gf and that you can persuade her to break up with him.
