In science we do not place an "s" on the end of the word to make it plural. Mitochondrion is singular and mitochondria is plural. Nucleus is singular and nuclei is plural. To answer your question, eukaryotic cells contain them, these are the organisms other than the bacteria.

It's the powerhouse of the cell, provides the energy for everything the cell does. I'm pretty sure they are only found in animal cells.
