This is something that I really want to do! What is a good way to learn the guitar? How hard is it? I already have an acoustic guitar! Thanks

the best way to learn is to get lessons. if you are doing something wrong, they will correct it fast so you don't keep making the same mistake. i started playingg 20 years ago with just basic chords. after my first year i was playin sweet child of mine. practice practice and more practice. the harder you practice, the better you will become. if you get stuck or frustrated, don't give up and you will be great.

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Guitar is pretty good. I actually got started off with Rock Guitar for Dummies. Learn the basic chords and have some basic songs (that you actually like) where you can play the chords to them. Once you become good at changing between chords and moving up to more difficult chords, go to a website such as www.ultimate-guitar.com or www.guitartabs.com and you can find guitar parts for tons of songs. The most important thing is to actually TRY, then it starts coming naturally. You could always take lessons, but you comprehend the music better if you stumble upon the findings yourself.
