Did you try resetting it and then do a sync?
It’s easy to do. If you have a fourth generation (clickwheel) iPod or an iPod mini, hold the menu and the center button. If you have a third generation or older, hold menu and play. In either case, hold the buttons until the Apple logo appears

Hi, when you turn the ipod on if its green then it means that your ipod is charged but in the card it doesn't say anything about a yellow light.

theres no music on unit, that means theres no music on the ipod
