It mostly depends on the speed and height of the individual roller coaster, but in general, it feels as though you're near-weightless. When going down the tallest hill, it feels as though you're about to leave your seat, but don't worry, you're held in tightly. :) If you ever go over a hill in your car [mostly in the country] at a higher rate of speed, and you feel your stomach rise - that's the typical coaster feel. Except on a roller coaster, it's more intense. Some people get a rush from the feeling, some hate it because they feel unsafe. I personally had a fear of coasters, until I went on smaller ones until I was used to them, and then went on Millenium Force. I must say, it's really exhilirating. You just have to get over the flying-out-of-your-seat feeling. But basically, whenever you feel nervous or go over hills in the car and you feel the rising stomach feel, that's what it's like, just magnified.

P.S. If you ever go on one, regretting getting on in the first place while going up the hill is natural. :) I used to do that all the time just because the height of the hill starts to sink in. But generally, in the end, you'll enjoy yourself. My recommendations: don't close your eyes! You won't get the full experience, and keep your arms up if you want the full feeling. Have fun!

It depends on what type of coaster you are interested in. Some launch, some have that classic climb up the lift hill...... Others feature loops, while others don't. You just have to get out there and try them out!
Some will even have a steeper than vertical first drop (such as Maverick which will open this year at Cedar Point) this year. There are just too many types out there! It also depends on where you sit. Generally, if you like to feel like you are being "yanked" down a drop, and prefer that "out of your seat" feeling, better known as airtime, head towards the back of the train. If you prefer a more "floaty" feeling (usually when the train crests a hill) and a better view, head towards the front.
I am addicted to rollercoasters myself, and I will give you some tips on how to enjoy them as well. Start small and work your way up. When at an amusement park, you usually have all day, so start with the smaller rides and attractions and work your way up to the "big ones".
You may feel a little nervous if you aren't used to heights. This is normal, so don't worry about it! Rollercoasters are popular because of the "out of control" feeling that is an excellent departure from everyday life. Perfect stress relief-so get out there! :)
Also if you find yourself to be addicted, there are clubs out there for people who love rollercoasters! One is called the American Coaster Enthusiasts. I will give you the website.

It is really great, first you are very nervous, when the little cars begin moving you are extremely nervous, but when the roller coaster starts with all that movement, up down etc. its really great. But of course thats my opinion some people don't like roller coasters, but how can you know if you never try it, the best thing to do is to ride the roller coaster once and for all

As you slowly ascend up the first hill, your heart races and you get a spectacular view of your surroundings. The first drop is usually the most thrilling and terrifying. It lasts only a few seconds and then you're like "That wasn't so bad afterall." There are some loops, twists & turns, maybe another drop or two, and sometimes water like on the Big Bad Wolf at Busch Gardens.

It is so cool!!!!!!!!!!! I used to be scared to death but now i ride big roller coasters. When you are waiting in line you may want to chicken out but it is worth it. It feels like you are soaring. When you go upside down it is so cool. I feels like slow motion. My favorite roller coaster is the Hulk.

It depends on the person. Some love the thrill, wind blowing against their face, etc., and some people don't like them and/or are afraid of them.

I went on one once, and I hated it, but that's just my opinion. Get some friends to go on one with you (ones that have gone on them before) and see how you like it.

I tried once, but sorry, the dizzy crazy ride not for me.
Regarding security, would never ever recommend it.
Still too many mortal accidents.

Receive best wishes,
Christian.
