since volume of a cube is s^3 (s cubed) you have to see what number when multiplied out 3 times is 64. For example (2)(2)(2) = 8 so this isn't the answer. Try (4)(4)(4) = (16)(4) = 64

Volume of cube = s^3, where s is side length
s^3 = 64
s = 4

The volume is found by multiplying the length, height and width. In a cube these are all the same length. so the equation would be x.x.x = x^3
and if the answer is 64 than x^3 = 64 and therefore the cuberoot of 64 is 4. so the cube is 4 by 4 by 4.

Volume = l*w*h
Since it is a cube, all lengths are equal. So...
volume = side*side*side
64 = side^3
64^(1/3) = side
4 = side.
The cube is 4 by 4 by 4
