"i" exponent (to the power) 48

i ^ 48 = 1

There's a pattern to exponents of "i".
Notice it repeats every 4th power:

i ^ 1 = i
i ^ 2 = -1
i ^ 3 = - i
i ^ 4 = 1
.....................

i ^ 5 = i
i ^ 6 = -1
i ^ 7 = - i
i ^ 8 = 1
.....................

i ^ 9 = i
i ^ 10 = -1
i ^ 11 = - i
i ^ 12 = 1

48 to the power of i or i to the power of 48? If it is 48 to the power of i then the simplied equation is i^48, if it is the other way around, the answer is 48^i

I think that's simplified but then again i have a 79% in Algebra 1A.

1. i is the square root of -1, so if you square it, you get negative 1. If you square it again, you get positive 1. So on and so forth until you've reached the 48th power.

I think that all ready is simplified. All you really could do is write what it equals so go i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i*i

so times i by itself 48 times, and then that would be your answer.
