is it true that money is the root of all evil? why is that? Any experience? just wanna know your thoughts on this...

Ok, let's think about it. Money is, as stated in the Bible, the root of all evil. If it is the root of evil and people are using it, then we continue to do evil. Let's look at what money is worth. Money is supposed to representing the gold in our country, yet the government has been over-manufacturing dollar bills. What does this mean? This means that the money we are spending now is worth nothing, and every time we spend it, we put our own country in more and more debt. It would take everyone in our country paying up to $130,000 to the government to get rid of our debt. Unfortunately, money is needed to ensure there is education, military, power, etc.
So, these are my thoughts on it. I think that money IS really the root of all evil. I hate money, but I love the things I can buy with it.

Yes , Money is the root of all evil. But it is horrible to be without it. I am very generous and help needy families with large amounts of children. But I have a family member that pinches pennies and will not help. He is even against giving food to little children. That is why money tends to lead to evil ways of thinking and doing. Greedy people hord and think they can take it with them. But they can't and that is why if people do not use their money in a good generous way, then it ends up being saved and greedy , by evil deeds. Stingy, greedy, all for themselves and not to help others.

Actually the bible quote is that the LOVE of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Money can buy lots of nice things. It's not so much the money, it's what it buys you. You can have just about anything you want, if you have enough money. But as Solomon wisely said, after he had indulged himself in this fashion, with all he wanted...."vanity; all is vanity".

I think selfishness in general is the root of evil, and money is often the focus of said selfishness. And it is the love of money, not money itself that is bad.

cuz with money you can purchase crack and other good drugs.Just kidding. Buddhism states that the root of all suffering comes from desire(wants/needs). Money is desired out of everyday necessity and is influenced and supported out of cultural habits. So its not money that's addicting but the desires one can buy with it.
