The popular TV program, Mythbusters (found on Discovery Channel) proved what was long though to be fact, false. It was believed that a Duck's quack doesn't echo, but after some serious expermenting (with expensive machinary and some neat tools) to prove the myth correct - it was discovered that a duck's quack DOES echo. But since the quack is quick and short - the echo which bounces back to the human ear is undetectable, blends in with the original quack coming from the duck- making it appear there is no echo.

The empirical approach demands you test this for yourself. Stick a duck in an empty oil drum, put your head in, and wait for him to quack. Do get back with us when you have the definitive answer.

how many ducks have you found in caves . or big empty rooms.
not many .
how about getting a duck or a recording of a duck and going to one of the echo chambers and listening to the duck tell you
quack quack
even better go to a farm where they have silows . and ducks ask the farmer if you can borrow a duck and share a few moments alone with the duck in the silow.
