For years now this issue has been an on-going animal rights debate... Is Iams cruelly testing their products on animals... or is PETA lying to get publicity?

I've heard both sides of this story hundreds of times, and both the Iams and PETA supporters claim to have "quality" evidence that supports their argument. I've seen this "evidence" and I find BOTH Iam's and PETA's so called "evidence" to be extremely suspicious. Personally, I can't just look at some random picture of a dead dog on the internet and think "Oh, well, guess that solves it." Anyone can post pictures online to twist a story. I need FACTS.

So, if you have evidence that you feel is certainly true, could you please answer me? Thank you.

I take everything PETA says with a VERY large grain of salt. As you said they're hardly unbiased. (Personally I'm more inclined to believe Iams, PETA has engaged in too many half-truths and other shady behavior for me to trust them)

Too many half truths from PETA to really make them credible anymore. They use only 1% of their thirteen million dollar annual budget to actually help animals. Ingrid's second in command uses insulin which is DERIVED FROM KILLING ANIMALS. But she's exempt from PETA's rules, of course, because she believes in all the good she is doing for animals. They have become more of a political lobbying group than the grass roots pro-animal group they started as.

Is IAMS squeaky clean? Maybe not, but PETA is actively looking for trouble in every event, real or imagined.

IMHO, Peta is no good. They lie about a ton of stuff. They say dairy farms are cruel, and I've been to one and guess what? Cattle like to be milked.

PETA seems to be mostly in it for the money. They will put any animal that "isn't attractive enough to be adopted" or whatever and put it to sleep just so they don't waste money.

One old man came into PETA with his rabbit. He really loved it but he couldn't take care of it anymore. He even gave them it's toys! He was alomost in tears. PETA assured them that they would take care of him, but within an hour they put him to sleep.

They try to force little kids to believe that their mommy is evil for wearing fur, and all sorts of stuff.

All right, I'm done. If you're in doubt, just don't get Iams.

there is a side(truth) to every story.....truth-everyone will do what it takes to win in this case-which means lie....
i worked at a vet office and iams has caused alot of intestinal problems in animals.... i do not feed iams..... as for PETA, they are trying to own every piece of land that is not government owned so they can drive out privately owned land that has animals on it, weather it is a dairy farm or ranch or someone that has a couple horses on it. right now PETA owns 1/3 of land not owned by government! that's alot people! they want to own and want the government to own all land. they dont want anyone to own their own land...... all info from range magazine and all their info is purely fact. they do studies and research everything before they print.... i think, and this is just my opinion, that 90% of pet food companies do animal testing weather u hear about it or not... i have research many companies and most of the ones i have researched do in fact test on animals(i have looked at 10 different companies and only i found does not test on animals)

I would not feed Iams to my dogs, it isn't a good food and as for peta (people eat the animals) I wouldn't trust them with anything!

Anyone who has a soul and a heart knows that animal cruelty sucks. Picture those poor little rats and mice living in those cages just waiting for someone to come in and stab them with a needle or feed them poisons. PETA is right about animal cruelty. I am not a hard core fan, but I do believe that EVERY animal has the right to live a pain free and suffer free life. Think about it everyone. Almost everyone has had a pet that they love just as if it were a member of their family. How would you like tests and cruelty forced upon this creature. It just sucks that the world has to be this way, that's all im saying.

No one has clear, true evidence either way. If they did, we would all know about it and not have to have a discussion on this issue DAILY!!!!

PETA is too extreme, they skew things to make their side look more appealing.
