What Makes a HUMAN?
That we have defined ourselves as such.

What seperates us from animals?
That we are able to reproduce and control our environments more. And that we try to deny our instincts.

What specific characteristics are human?

IF WE ARE, how are we different from everything else in the animal kingdom?

Speech and sentence construction/creating words can be done by birds (there's one that knows over 900 words and has been shown to make up names for what it does not have a word for).
Intellect we really can't be sure of...as we don't know how our brains function, so how can we know if they are above a dolphin or whale's?

The ability to develop complex ideas and then to put those ideas into production at a rate far greater than any other species that exists on the planet today.
