be confident like i was in the 8th grade (im in 11th now). I'm now really shy and when i was in tutorials today there were a whole bunch of people in there that i didn't know and when i had a question i was afraid to ask because i was scared that everyone will stare at me and i'll just look retarded. I know i can get over this i was confident before i know i can be confident again how can i be confident without anyone ever causing me to lose it??

the trick is to overcome it.
most people are in the same boat you are. but they plug along and do the best they can.

Sweetie -
Shyness and confidence comes and goes over your lifetime. New situations and other changes can cause one to feel shy and less confident for a while until you get your bearings again.
Your confidence will come back. Just be prepared to go through the same feelings again when you are next in a new setting (college, new job, new location etc. etc.)

School can be pretty uncomfortable at times. But the good news is that it's easier out in the adult world. And college is a blast. You are almost there.
Go ahead and ask your questions. If they stare at you, smile at them. Who cares if they think you are goofy? You will probably be employing most of them some day!

Well if you don't know them and they don't know you it doesn't really matter now does it? Think about it. Ask a question and they won't think any less of you, nor will they know you for so long to insult you. Just say to yourself "If they don't know me, they won't care."
