Well I like Saving Private Ryan and Full Metal Jacket. I think they're great. But I specially like Pearl Harbor coz Ben Affleck act so good and cool. It's sad movie but it's an action movie too.

There is a lot of drama in Full Metal Jacket, but it's good. Saving Private Ryan and The Thin Red Line are my favorites.

My very favorite is To End All Wars with Robert Carlyle and Keifer Sutherland among others and my next favorite is Three Came Home with Claudette Colbert. Both films are P.O.W. movies because I can no longer watch violence in movies and war movies that involve realistic looking battle scenes make me cry uncontrollably. I like P.O.W. themed movies because they show the other, often grittier side of war and they offer glimpses of the depravity as well as the glory of the human spirit. Other good choices...The Great Escape, The Bridge Over the River Kwai , Von Ryan's Express, The Empire of the Sun, King Rat and The Train.

Green Berets with John Wayne (Took balls as big as his to make a pro-Vietnam war movie in 1969)
Tora Tora Tora (Makes Pearl Harbor look like Dumb and Dumber)
The Longest Day (John Wayne, Henry Fonda, Eddie Albert, Robert Mitchum, Sean Connery, Richard Burton, Peter Lawford, Robert Ryan, Sal Mineo, and Fabian. And that's just the english speaking stars.)

Saving Private Ryan's good, and you should also watch Band of Brothers. It's WWII, but it's also a series, 'bout 10 hours altogether. Windtalkers is good and so is the great raid. I haven't seen Flags of our Fathers yet, but I'll bet it's good. Blackhawk down and Behind enemy Lines are great. There's a few to start you off.
