lets look at the actual truth of what house bill 6 will cause and is. it takes money and puts it in a slush fund for NO SPECIFIC PURPOSE. then they basically gutted house energy bill 2005/6 that had 8 billion dollars set aside for a purpose. they said over and over that the republican congress did nothing for clean energy however that was a bold face lie. that 8 billion dollars was used and here are the results

27 Ethanol plants yielding 100 million gallons of ethanol and 1.4 billion scheduled on line by 2008

401 E85 pumps
25 Nuclear Reactors created 25000 Mega wats of electricity

116,871 Hybrid cars on line in 1 year

2000 mega wats of wind power production yielding 493,000 houses fully supported by wind which offsets 37 Billion lbs of Co2

as well as 15 new efficiancy standards.

now we get a slush fund from money that would have been put back into the ground to lessen the need of foreign oil.

great job 110 th congress.

I heard nothing about new taxes...you are not telling the truth...they did however get money out of freeloading corporation in the moneys that were actually owed and the billions to oil profits.

If it will provide cleaner air, I'm all for it.

If you don't care about what you breathe, move to South America. The have lower taxes, and disgusting pollution.

I bet the people of Texas are happy after their past governor did everything in his power to poison their air and water. I can't believe you are really complaining about cleaning up the environment for us, our children and all future generations. Does money really mean that much to you that you are unwilling to give a penny or two on the dollar to improve the conditions for ALL of us? Why are you not complaining about the billions per month the President is spending on this...whatever it is he is doing in Iraq?

Well, those poor souls who believe the tax and spenders will do a better job, better wake up, this is just the beginning. You see, democrats believe that spending is the only way to resolve problems. Inefficiency is just a part of government, they believe we must learn to live with it, but not correct it.
