My dresser makes all my clothes smell like this really weird wood smell... how do I prevent that from happening? I thought the smell would go away after a few months but it's been 4 years and I still have the problem...??

i had the same problem. if i used scented drawer liners or sachets then i always carried that smell which usually makes for bad mixture if you use perfume. i put a few downy dryer sheets in each drawer. that way your clothes always smell laundered instead of like you were in a field of flowers or drowning in lavender etc... then no problems wearing perfumes/colognes.

I always cover the bottom of each drawer with bounce fabric sheets and then put those dollar store plastic twist & smell things against one of the sides of each drawer.( they are about 1.00 for two in a pack)(they are on the isle with all the air freshner and I always get mine at Fred's) My clothes haven't smelled like wood since then so I'm sure this will work for you! Good Luck and smell great!

REmove everything and wash the inside of the drawers down well with something like lysol liquid or oxiclean or fantastic. Get plenty of cleaner on it. It's probably the oils left on it from the manufacturer. Otherwise, just use contact paper on the inside to seal it off. Or I like scented drawer paper and sachet tablets.

Well, if it's cedar-lined, it probably wont' ever go away! it's supposed to do that to repel moths!

You may try drawer liners. You can buy scented ones, or just line them w/ alum. foil and use spray adhesive to get it to stay. See if that works.

You may also try sealing your drawers w/ some sort of paint-on sealer or clear coat.

put poperie in little bags and stick them at the bottom of your drawers.
