what are some words that are short but not common and are great Scrabble helpers?

Instead of asking for suggestions, just review the following list of acceptable two- and three-letter words. I'm guessing you are most interested in the words with high-scoring letters, but the words with unusual vowel combinations can also be handy. By the way, note that there are two basic lists - the relevant word list depends on where you are.

If you are getting serious, you definitely need to memorize the list of two-letter words, as they are critical for laying down bingos and other high-scoring plays.

short words for SCRABBLE? Thats about all you get are short words. You gotta play the tiles youre dealt.
Your best bet, get rid of any letter you have 3 or more of, and start dumping hard to use letters whenever you can.
Oh, and don't waste your S's.
