I don't like them that much. Once I had a lady tell me to read the address off my credit card. I don't know what the hell she was talking about and apparently neither did she. If they speak english well and we don't have any problem communicating that's ok though.

I've heard people say that outsourcing is hurting the US economy. It's true that it takes away jobs from US citizens, however, outsourcing allows the companies to cut costs to help keep prices low. Well they should anyway -I wouldn't buy from a company if I found out they were outsourcing and keeping all the extra they save as profits.

No, I don't because it's hurting our North American economy. They will do the job there for less than half of what a North American would do.

I don't like the way they won't tell you where they are situated unless you push them. American companies don't want you to know that they have outsourced their jobs to India. They want you to think you are dealing with someone here. It's all about the companies saving money. It's not just call centre jobs getting outsourced, it's tons of other IT jobs as well. It's a big problem.

Not at all. It doesn't make sense to have people in another country receiving and making calls when we certainly have a lot of people in the USA who could use a job.

When it is difficult to understand them - no, otherwise I don't mind. US firms outsource work for reasons other than cheap labor, sometimes it is a question of our not having the resources (people to fill the jobs in that industry).

Not one bit. I can never understand their "English". I no longer bother with them. Soon as I hear that incomprehensible babble, I hang up. Then try email support, and resolve never to buy a product from that manufacturer ever again.
