I'm not there yet, but I've seen women go through it. Some women have no problem at all, others have a tough time with hot flashes, weight loss or gain, and horrendous mood swings. There is a blood test that can be given to you that tells you in which stage of menopause you are in.
I think men may experience some of the effects that a woman goes through during menopause. Especially when that man has lived many years with the woman enduring the change.

I'm 53 and have been going thru the change of life for over 10 years now. Men do go thru some sort of change, but it's not a hormonal change as women have. I've heard male menopause can include, depression, erectile dysfunction, aches and pains etc. Do a web search for male menopause, and see what the M.D.'s have to say about it....

No, there isn't a male menopause if there were all of the male doctors in the world would have discovered it and fixed it.
If we are obese of have diabetes it takes it's toll. As does time.
As we get older we take more pills. Some medications have side effects like lack o' boners and desire, and they can gang up on our libido (sex drive).
Have yourself checked out by a doctor, if you already haven't Share all your thoughts feelings with him. Make a list.
There are solutions and it sounds like you need to find them.
This will cost you $200 thank you very much!
Good luck.

as far as i can tell by all the humans i have had to deal with at all different ages, men go thru changes--older humnans do not make or need as much hormone as do younger humans--women gradually cease making estrogen and therefore go thru menopause.
m,en do not necessarily stop making their hormones, vbut i do believe they syart producing less of it than before--men change strangely sometimes--the only thing i can figure out is the answer i gave--this is baSED ON OBSERVATION DURING 30 YEARS OF CRITICAL CARE NURSINGoops--not on recorded fact, at this time.
if you have a personal physician, that doctor would be more qualified than i to answer this question--but if you are asking because things are weirder than they used to be-----perhaps---there are no rules in meduicine that are written in stone,
i think men just slow down a litle and have less drive---other than that, i believe there is not a major shift as women have--just little modifications in attitude.....

Yes, I think men go through it. It is the stage when they think to themselves, "is this all there is?" Then they go out and cheat on their wives.
