If your talking about hard drive space no its not alot. I think your confusing Hard Drive space with RAM. No computer has 4.53 GB of ram. 4 gb yes, 4.53 No. My Alienware Desktop has 4 GB of RAM. If your computer says 2.08 out of 4.53 thats the storage space. However if your computer has 98-XP on it it can't possibly have trouble with Messenger I think your problem lies else where. Check your ram, Usually you can do this by clicking property on My Computer or watching the screen when your computer boots up sometimes it will tell you the ram as it loads. But honestly speaking its long past due time to buy another computer.

Hello dear! 4.53 is a very little memory as per the current requirements in the computers environment. The operating system itself consumes more than 2 GB. But if you want only for YIM, 1 GB can easily handle it's whole functionalities. as your well wisher said that "it may crash if you load more than the available memory space", it won't be happen. it will warn you that "the memory space in your system is not enough to load this application", that's it.

141 GB isn't regularly occurring reminiscence (it truly is in basic terms commonplace as reminiscence), that is an quantity of cupboard area (or secondary reminiscence). 141 GB is a waste of area once you've a frustrating force of means like one hundred and sixty - 2 hundred GB. although, once you've a higher frustrating force 141 GB would not matter a lot.

Yes, 4 GB is a pretty good amount of memory. To put it in perspective, a 2 GB mp3 player will hold approximately 100 songs (each at approximately 5 minutes each).

It is not a lot of memory. Most of the good games will probably slow down the computer or may not fit. But it is more than enough for YIM. so go ahead and have fun, not playing games though.

as a primary memory source(such as hard drive) thats virtually non-existent. I would run a disk cleanup from the system tools panel in the start menu if you're on windows xp. If you're talking about ram(random access memory) then yes tahts alot bc the computer uses ram as a short term memory storage because it can aces info on the ram ALOT faster than on hard drive so it stores things like internet recently visited sites on there until you turn off the pc, if you have your internet set to keep them even after you turn the pc off, what it does is transfer the site info to the hard drive until you open internet explorer again then it brings them back to ram.

Her laptop is SMALL. A normal hard drive should be at least 60GB. You can add YIM to it and it should be fine. Just don't install Doom 3 or Halo for PC or anything high-end.

For that one application, it is a lot of memory - but a lot of hard drives now have hundreds of GB of memory, so the answer is relative to what you're doing with it.
