I don't understand, help explain?!

Explain the phrase "only certain organisms can change solar energy into chemical energy"

I'm supposed to be sure to identify--
the type of nutrition carried out by these organisms
the process being carried out in this type of nutrition
the organelles present in the cells of these organisms that are directly involved in changing solar energy into chemical energy

Does photosynthesis count?!

I don't want to do your homework for you, but...
Yes the teacher is asking about photosynthesis. Think plants and some bacteria and monera. Look up photosynthesis in your text book and that should do it for you. if you are in college/AP you may need to compare/contrast plants and bacteria. On the other hand the organelle prompt seems to lead you only to plants and chloroplasts.
Good luck

Yes, photosynthesis is the process being carried out. Good job! So what organisms do photosynthesis, and where does this reaction occur (what organelle do only plants and algae have)?
