what are some online stores. what are the main fashion items for vintage, i'm also looking for the artsy look.. any help is appreciated.

Try newport-news.com or speigal.com I don't know how old you are but those sites carry alot of vintage, romantic, chic type clothes at more affordable prices than the designers. But don't buy everything that's on the model model because you'll run the risk of looking old but do browse through and pick a couple of nice pieces for your vintage look.
p.s. don't discount your local thrift or previously worn stores sometime they have crazy stuff for little or nothing
