Liars are insecure because they have low self-esteem. They believe that they aren't good enough. That's why they lie...to make themselves seem better than they are. It's sad.
Their pants are on fire because they will be found out. Liars are almost always caught in their lies, because reality, the truth is all around them for everyone to see. They can't keep track of all their lies. When people find out, they think poorly of the person who lied. Which makes their self-esteem even worse. The fire in their pants gets hotter and hotter, consuming them.
