my little brother is 15 and i caught him smoking cigarettes last month and now ive found a pack in his bedroom!!! i know he smokes cigarettes and hes done it for a while now and wat also worries me is that he never exercises and he eats bad food like pizza and burgers everyday, is this why he is so short, 5'2. my youngest bro which is 13 is 5'4. is it too late for him to grow if he stops and makes better choices?

Yeah, I think it can stunt his growth. So can the bad food, and sleep deprivation. So if he's got all that going on, then he's really hurting himself. Fortunately, he has a couple of years left to grow. If he wants to grow still, he needs to get healthy quick. But if your parents are not tall, it might just be genetic. Good luck!

Yes, poor nutrition starves the body of what it needs to produce healthy growth horomones. Smoking also causes restricted blood vesels etc... Eat good, and sleep good. Tell him his smoking will give him a small weenie...thats good motivation.

Smokers are definately shorter than non-smokers. Not by much, but there is a difference. Look around you at the guys who smoke and the ones who don't. Smoking constrists blood vessels.
