What I am trying to say is, if and when Smallville finally goes off the air, not saying it might not go off anytime soon, where they make a new live-action Superman show based on the events of Smallville, that is if they go that direction on the CW?

If SV is cut, I could see a Green Arrow or Justice League Spin off, but if they were to continue with the tale of the Big Blue BoyScout they would just keep the name and keep running.

Changing the show to "Superman" would only lead to confusion between all of the varying mythologies. Smallville has its own back story, with the 'Birthright' reset the comics have their backstory, and because Brian Singer was too busy 'cut-and-pasting' the script for Superman Returns from a rough Draft of Superman 1 the films have their backstory which doesn't even make sense unto itself any more.

By keeping it under the Smallville Brand, it defines it accoring to the story we've been watching for 6 years, and that definition is clear.
