i hope the music will come back! just not the clothes or hair! But still today, the clothes some of us wear have 80's vibe in them. Just a little w/c means its just fun and not ugly like the totally 80's fashion in the 1980's!

I personally am not looking forward to the tapered jeans stuffed in my slouch socks, along with the big Aqua Net Flock of Seagulls hair(don't get too close to a candle whatever you do). If they bring back the Chevette or MC Hammer pants, I am so moving to Canada. The world will come to an end when the New Kids on the Block reunion tour is released on Beta and all the 30-somethings break dance in their neon ripped shirts, dark sunglasses and headbands. Walmart will be over stocked with Jellies, plastic bracelets, bicycle shorts, Converse, stirrup pants and Coca-Cola shirts. The VO5 commercials will be filled with girls with the way cool ponytail on the side of their heads. Every girls jeans purse will be filled with their favorite flavors of Bonnie Bell Lipsmackers, Bubbletape and walkmans the size of a dictionary. The hottest pre-teen shows will be Kids Incorporated, Silver Spoons and You Can't Do That On Television, while their younger brothers and sisters will zoning in front of Smurfs and Voltron or Nintendo's Zelda. People will be Walking Like an Egyptian, talking like a Valley Girl and organizing all their papers in their Trapper Keepers.

The 80's have been creeping back in for about 2-3 years now. First with the more underground punk movement and increasingly into the light. I would expect the 90's to be next in line.

Some elements of the 80s have been coming back. I think we can expect to see more. It makes sense, as far as trends go. For a while in the 90s, there was a comeback for fashions of the 60s and 70s. A resurgence of 80s trends wouldn't be too suprising.

Apparently so. I actually saw a woman wearing jelly shoes some time ago, and a friend of mine recently got a coat with flourescent-colored piping.
My personal prediction for what will come back next is the permed, big hair.

yes the 80,s are comming back so is the 50,and the 60,s in rock and roll look on t,v, we get it on free no ch421 here in kelowna bc.soft rock and classic music.

I thought it was the seventies coming back, lol. The bell bottoms are a sign of the seventies and I see more all the time from that era. But I see your point in the eighties as well.

clothing wise...yeah clothes are 80s inspired by now i think most people recognize the mullets are not attractive and i don't think they'll be coming back in style lol
