Why are some women so slutty? Not to say that all women are, but I've met some girls who REALLY get around. Why do they do this? Don't they know it's demeaning and stupid. I mean sometimes I don't mind if a girl's easy, but some girls are just like really out there, you know. I don't mean to sound sexist in any way I am just wondering.

I think a lot of it has to do with their perceptive on receiving a man's love. I myself was molested when I was younger, as were two of my older sisters. We were all very sexually active, at a young age, but my other sister, who wasn't molested didn't become sexually active until she neared her 20's. When a girl is taught that she is worth more than sexual favours (as many are when they are molested, sexually abused and raped) than she gets a low self confidence, and believes that the only way a man will ever love her is if she gives him what he wants. I dont' know if this is true for all women, but I know after talking to my sisters, and a few of my female friends who were abused in some way, that this way the main cause.

Girls are promiscuous for many reasons. First , low self esteem, some people equate sex with love, and since they don't love themselves, they need to have men love them. Sometimes girls feel their self worth is determined by who they are sleeping with, so sex becomes like a status symbol. It can also be a power thing, some girls want to hook up with whoever to hurt someone in their past. Sadly some of the girls who do this know it is demeaning and stupid ( the others will figure it out sooner or later) but they can't stop, because their need for attention ( even if that attention is not positive or respectful) supersedes there desire to become independent women who rely only on themselves .

I guess some woman should ask YOU this when she sees you with a skanky one! Doesn't that make YOU skanky too?
I mean, sometimes you don't mind; right?
Some of them do not know any better. Or; like you, they just don't mind.

Has anyone considered that they're horny and undisciplined, with no moral values and no concept of commitment? I see all this talk about self-esteem and all, and no doubt those are possibly major factors, but what about THE factor?
It really is disturbing. And before anyone says ANYTHING about a double standard (usually there's at least one who tries to justify promiscuity / "free, open sex" that way), very FEW men approve of that behavior in anyone. Only buffoons brag about how many women they've slept with, and only complete dolts with no minds of their own respect them. Good night!

Well men are like this too. Some people believe it is ok when others were raised differently. I think a lot depends on background. Some women think it will get them ahead. Other women are just into it. Same thing as men.

Well, take notes the next time you watch TV.
Commercials for instance; beauty, boobs, and beer.
Or the Victoria's Secret models; implants equal better looking boobs in push up bras.
The Miss America/Universe pageant; beauty & boobs in bikinis, but brains are over looked.
Women have been over exposed to the Hollywood idea of what is appealing to a man. And it seems to be youth, beauty, boobs, and having a sluty sexuality.
It's a double-standard world for us. If we have multiple partners, we're sluts. If we marry a wealthy man, we're gold diggers. If we're sucessful, we've slept our way to the top.

The only reason a woman would have for not being a complete slut is that she wanted to show to potential male providers that she will not bear children from another man if he provides for her.
These days, male providers are not required, the government will pick up the tab or force the man to provide regardless of whether the woman is meeting her end of the deal of providing legitimate children and being pleasant, so they have no motivation.

Because girls think that makes them cool and popular, especially in the eyes of numerous guys who only want to get in their pants. The younger girls look up to people like Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie, so they dress like them. They want guys, so to get guys, they dress like sluts. Respect? Dignity? Who cares? Not them, apparently.
