Why do boys and men have erections when they wake in the morning? Why does that happen through the course of the night? Excluding everything sexual What is the medical cause?

I heard it gets that way from holding their urine through the night. I have no clue if thats the real reason.

I believe it is because males need to have a 'release' on a regular basis because they are always producing new sperm, if they're not getting enough sex or masturbating enough then it finds its way out in their sleep.

Asked my husband. He said it was to keep a man froming peeing on himself in the morning. Never heard that one. But okay.
