According to an article I just read on Yahoo News, Oprah had, as guests on her show, the parents of the little boy who was abducted from his bus stop recently. Experts, authorities, professionals all have publicly enlightened us to know that the BEST THING FOR THE BOYS ABDUCTED is to let them speak in their own time about what abuses they suffered at the hands of their captor.
These boys have been through so much. We all imagine. We all wonder. We all know, deep in our hearts, what terrors the boys must have faced.
Yet, Oprah still asked the parents if they thought their son had been molested.
According to the article I read, they nodded yes.
What was the purpose of that question? There is none. I think Oprah stepped over the line and because she is such a huge public figure I think she owes them an apology.
Pretty soon we'll have to call her Oprah Springer.

I also agree with several posters who urge to hold the parents accountable for even going on the show in the first place. It does not seem like they are seeking publicity as a means of helping their son. I am not sure what their motivation might be. It's a curious situation.
And I also agree with the idiot who used the tired old "three fingers pointing back" cliche....but not in this case. There is no similarity whatsoever between a media giant and little ol' me! I wish. I'm not "pointing a finger." I observed, I had an opinion about an action and I had a reaction.
I really appreciate the people who didn't jump at the chance to make a stupid or nasty comment and who, instead, gave me their opinion. Thanks to those who did!
