I really don't know. I am a bit skeptical about it, there is way too much dirty underhandedness going on in politics today. Perhaps it is just a big load of hooey in an attempt to completely discredit him. If they make him out to be a sleazoid, then maybe they can get folks to think he is lying about global warming, jmo.

Did not hear it till now! However, I have noticed that the more politically active HE gets, and the more talking he does, that all of the hot air emitted into the atmosphere is causing a noticeable warming trend Worldwide!

Anyone who is making fun of Gore's intelligence obviously didn't watch any of the debates between him and Bush. The difference in intelligence between those two was staggeringly obvious.
Unfortunately that probably worked against Gore, since Bush locked in the "dumb" vote by idiots who have felt intimidated by people with "book learnin'" like Gore all their lives and felt they could identify with the rich New England kid born with a silver spoon in his mouth pretending to be a hillbilly sh*tkicker just like them.

I'm with mild_irritant on this one. Just more neocons quoting Gore out of context, like the whole Internet issue. Who cares if it's a lie, if it benefits one's political agenda? Man....and people wonder why I roll my eyes whenever the GOP espouses honesty and values.
