No, multitasking doesn't reduce your IQ in any way. Some people are simply better at multitasking than others, but it in no way lessens your intelligence. However, you are more likely to make mistakes when you multitask, because your attention is split among several things at once.
Unless you hit your head and do some serious damage, like a concussion, then you won't lose brain cells simply by being hit in the head. If you're hit in the head repeatedly, like a boxer, then that's another story.
There are many old wives' tales about the brain and how it works. Take the one person's statement that the brain gets a new wrinkle when it learns something. This, also, is completely false. The number of wrinkles in your brain when you're five is the number of wrinkles that will be in your brain when you're fifty. A normal person could learn several hundred things a day. (every memory, after all, is a learned moment in time.) Your brain wouldn't have room to learn anymore even after a couple of days. In truth, when you learn memorize something, new connections between brain cells are created, similar to how a computer "learns," but a thousand times more complex. Unlike other organs, your brain can't heal itself or grow. All it can do is have its cells reach out and connect to each other in intricate "circuitry."

Well...it makes sense. A recent study found that workers' IQ test scores drop by an average of 10 points when they juggled phones, emails and other electronic messages. Also losing a night's sleep and after smoking marijuana makes it drop even more. Besides your attention and thoughts are split between the tasks and you can only focus on so much at once.It takes a lot of mental energy and it strains the system. As for losing brain cells when you hit your head hard enough it causes your brain to smack against your skull. Therefore yes it does kill them. =)

i highly doubt either of those. Yes you use your brain more when you multi task but you don't lose brain cells and as far as bumping your head??? PUH LEASE. Some one is feeding you a line of bull. LOL The only thing i could think of that may cause you to lose brain cells is by listening to people like that. hehehe kidding but couldn't resist.

I doubt multi tasking will cause you to lose brain cells if anything it should better your process of thinking. Also when you hit your head you can get a concussion, this might damage your brain, but brain cells have been proven to be able to regenerate over time.

If anything you need more smarts to multi task. Think about it.
We lose brain cells every day that is why it is important to use our brains too which creates brain cells. Like doing math, art because they each develope opposite sides of our brain.

People learn to multitask through necessity, usually while juggling work, family and social interactions, but researchers from the University of California have found that multitasking can actually lower your IQ because the lack of focus prevents information from reaching the brain's memory stores.

So how many times have you hit yourself in the head today?
I have never seen a real time multitasking IQ test. So I am not sure about that one.
Go off and hit yourself in the head a 1,000 times and that wil equal a million. That will be totally way cool. Then if you do it
another 1,000 times that will be another million and that will be way cooler.
My god.

I don't think your IQ drops really... you just lose productivity. And as for hitting yourself on the head, I wouldn't do that too much.
