to me the big issues would be, where do you get employees from, and where do you get customers from. Getting customers seems easier to me--pass out brochures to senior centers, doctors offices, social servic e agencies. There are other agencies that provide other complementary medical care to invalids, maybe you could form an alliance with them since you're not technically in competition. Dealing with the help I think would be a real drag. In my experience here in NJ these places all use gals from West Africa. I think they have had some type of rudimentary medical training like how to take blood pressure, how to turn patient to prevent bedsores, etc. Maybe you could establish a relationship with vocational schools? they also have a professional nurse-type person who does an initial assessment of the patient at the outset of the engagement. But in my experience the labor side would be a b it of a hassle...these gals don't get paid much, and do a very unpleasant job, so there's a lot of turnover.

This is not a professional answer and i'm not a doctor, just someone who feels that no one who needs care should be without it especially due to lack of money. Its seems to me that as long as you are not practicing any type of medical treatment or administering any medication that has not already been given to that person by a doctor, you are doing nothing wrong. All you are doing is giving these people conversation,an ear,a shoulder and the security that they are not alone and the comfort of knowing that someone cares and is there for them. this is a lonely, cold and most of all ,a world driven by how much money one has. The have-nots receive a tiny fraction of medical care compared to the haves. You inspire me and you renew my faith in humanity because that is a wonderful thought you have. I'm sure you will succeed because kindness and a beautiful heart always triumph. Look for some funding of some kind to help with expenses, maybe some grants or something theres alot of money out there allocated for things such as this, but don't expect the government to inform you of this because all the unclaimed money at the end of the year goes right on back to the haves. Goodluck boo and pass that good energy everywhere you go, hopefully its contagious!!!!!!!!!!!ha ha

While some home care agencies provide health-oriented services, it's essential to understand the difference between non-medical home care and home health care. Check here http://www.nbhsllc.com/
