Abuse of privilege?
i just learned that my ex, an md, has been writing narcotic cough med scripts for our kids w/o my ir pediatrician knowing. what action can i take? there was no need for it - they saw pcp day before yesterday. i mean, he never tried otc meds help

what sort of custody agreements do you have with this man [your ex]..........would be VERY concerned about the non custodial using the sort of method.almost as if he was trying to show you in a poor light by not taking care of them, at the very least get this noted with some on in a position of authority so you have a record of it.

Good luck and he sounds a bit of an *** really.

It is an abuse of his privileges. He should be reported to your state medical board. I seriously doubt he's giving it to your children only. As one of the other folks suggested, I'd bet he's taking it himself. These prescription cough syrups have a lot of alcohol also.

If your children are not taking the meds, guess your ex is.
Notify your ir ? peditrician about this asap.

he may just be using poor judgement but check to see if he is giving them the medication or using them as an excuse to get the medication for himself.
