Due dates are very approximate. In fact, it's pretty inaccurate to tell pregnant women that they are due on one particular date. There's no way to determine exactly when your baby is supposed to come. It would be more helpful to give them a "due week."
As I'm sure you know, Braxton Hicks contractions can start many weeks before birth. If these contractions are different than or more powerful than those, then it may very well be the case that you are nearing labor.

Girl, you can stay dialted at 2-3 cm for weeks and be having contractions every day and still not have the baby. . Braxton Hicks contractions are "false" contractions that your body does to anticipate the delivery of the baby.
Yes, it's coming soon. . Yes, it could still be a few weeks, I'm sorry to say : (
I know that the last month is the most agonizing. . my heart goes out . . one love & good luck during labor !! Hope it's an easy one for ya!

I would think they are real close with that due date more than likely if this is your first baby labor will be a long process. I would go when they are 5 min apart if your hospital is within 30min. I waited until I could hardly walk and could not Finnish a sentence without going hehehue to get through it. This is a exciting time for you I bet you cant wait. Good luck this is the beginning of a greater life for you being a mother is the best thing in the world.

You are at a 2 that is great you are going through the first part of labor with little or no pain. Could be a while yet or could be any time.
At your next appointment ask your doctor about stripping your membrains...that will get you going.
Congrats and good luck!

I'd say your probably getting pretty close to being a new mom. You will know because you will be able to time your contractions down to the minute. When they get to 5 minutes apart get to the hospital. Try taking a long walk. This might help things along. Congrats.

Babies come when they want to. You very well could go past your "due date". I am surprised that your doctor has not scheduled you for an induction of labor since you are so close to being over 40 weeks.

Hi, These could be braxton Hicks. When I was pregnant with my 11 month old i was 3cm for 2 months. (don't want to scare you or anything). But sense your due date is Sat. I would love to tell you it wouldn't be much longer, But you just don't know. I hope everything goes good for you. And and early congratulations for u and your love one on your baby..

I would say soon... If this is your first (average firsts go 41 weeks 1 day) if not your first (average 40 weeks 3 days) Either way it will be soon... Try walking & raspberry leaf tea, sex or nipple stimulation... Try to avoid induction ...it increases your risk of needing a c-section. Good luck! Congrats early!
