More specifically, I have a full unopened can of Kilz Primer that says it is "One US Gallon (128 fl. oz.). I want to know how many pounds that 'translates' to. How many pounds is 128 fl. oz./1 gallon? Thanks.

Depends on the type of paint, the consistency, etc. You need to provide more details. And BTW, there is no need to call a gallon a 'fluid' gallon - a gallon is a measurement of volume and nothing else. The only difference is US gallons (128 ounces) or Imperial gallons (160 ounces).

It depends on the fluid. For water it is about 8 pounds. For Kilz or latex paint it is about 10 pounds.

What are you asking ? A gallon of water at sea level weighs 8Lbs. But the way you are asking , it sounds like you want to know what an empty 1 gallon paint can weighs. With or without the lid ?

A gallon of water weighs 8.34 pounds, a gallon of milk weighs 8.34 pounds so Im going to assume your gallon of paint weighs 8.34 pounds. Now tell me which weighs more a ton of feathers or a ton of bricks..lol

Latex paint weight varies by color and quality.
Multiply gallons by 12 and subtract 1/2 for the can to get approximate weight.

one gallon of water weights 8.34 pounds but the weight of paint will be more as it is thicker and they vary by maker and the special types of use.
