we didnt. only 65% of the oil used in the us is foreign. now the bill passed today (house bill 7) will reduce the amount of production from us based oil causing MORE foreign oil production however the dems seem to think this is the right step toward reducing foreign oil for some reason...

Oil drilling is still going on in the US. Companies drill in Texas, the Gulf of Mexico(our side), and Alaska.

Well Sparkey, they sure have not stopped drilling in Texas, Lousiana, Oklahoma and California or Alaska. Elsewhere? I don't know haven't been anywhere else this year.

It became cheaper to import oil at some point a few decades ago.. and now that domestic sources are viable ( and needed ) liberal stupidity keeps us from developing domestic energy sources.
