Manic and BabyBoy have it 100% right. I'd never bareback outside of a committed monogamous relationship.

I never have been and never will be. If there is any attraction to that behavior it can only be explained by ignorance.

EDIT> My first committed relationship was with a guy who had tested negative for HIV. He called me a few months after we broke up to tell me he had tested positive for HIV. I tested negative and am glad that I never even considered barebacking.

My ex and I, after being together a long time and being tested always had sex bare back. Its hot, top or bottom.
If you are not 100% sure your partner is healthy don't even think about it.
Testing for HIV, Hepatitis B, and various other things is not expensive and could save your life...or his.

I'd only have unsafe sex with my boyfriend and just as long as we were both regularly tested. I think there is undoubtedly more intimacy to it then using a condom. And I don't think there is anything wrong with doing it bareback when both of us are monogomous to each other and are tested regularly.

yes I bareback, but only with my partner of 7 years. it is a very intimate feeling one that is hard to explain if you have never experienced it.
