All depends on who is inclined to use it against you. If you dont have any serious enemies it is over. If you have an enemy the charge can be used against you any time. Then there is no time limit. Records remain in the records room of the court for minimum 20 years. This depends on the nature of the case.

If you are an adult it stays forever. Court records are not destroyed. If it has been a long length of time, an attorney might be able to get it expunged (removed), however.

if you are 18 or over, forever..it is not a moving violation or somethign on your credit report
