Sony= Sleek Looks and Mobility with Capability - the SZ lineup gives you all three with cool features check out sonystyle.com, you can customize your own and even add your personnel message on the notebook, price starts at around 2000 for a good config

Dell - Style with a punch, im talking about the XPS lineup from Dell and well even the 12' i.e. XPS M1210 isn't that portable, but if this isn't a issue then this is a Hard Core Gaming Device.

Apple :- If you want a metal outsides hardcore insides well this laptop with break the records in style and functionality also stability and strength, its got apple looks and performance, but it cannot run any sorta Games which are not built for its native operating system which will be quite a few BUT the new Apple Macbook Pro and Macbooks are able to run dual operating system on them that is MAC OS X AND WINDOWS XP or VISTA
if you install vista then this computer is pretty darn good, but price tag goes to 2500+ but its worth.

HP:- They produce good business notebooks not Gaming things even if they did produce then it would be about 14lbs, So this isn't a good idea, HP is known for its pricey notebooks that don't have value.

None of these computers are better at what they do, the term better here can only be judged by the config you want to put in, most of these companies give you the ability to crate your custom notebook by selecting the base notebook,, if you can wait for like 2 weeks after the order, its def possible to have your machine built the way you want. IF mobility is a issue then Dell XPS 'gaming machine' won do any good, only games at home or where you can carry that, for a 12' screen the XPS M1210 is a weight that you cant accept, Apple on the other hand is quite good cos of its 256 Dedicated graphics and stable system and the ability to Dual Boot, leave the HP aside cos it wont help, Sony gives you those sleek sexy portable performance notebooks, the VAIO SZ line for example. What ever you decide to buy read the reviews from CNET and NOTEBOOKREVIEW cos they provide PROS and CONS. You dont wanna get the wrong notebook at a premium price now would you? Oh yeah by the way at CNET take into consideration the USER RATING and not the EDITOR RATING. Read through those reviews by users, esp when it comes to Apple.

I would recommened either Dell or Sony. I dont like Apple because its Mac and not many things are compatible with Mac. I dont like HP because I use to have an HP desktop, and it would crash very often. My sister has a Sony laptop and its running very well. Dells are very reliable as well. But if you want a gaming laptop, you should go with the gaming companies like Alienware and Voodoo. Those are the top gaming computer companies. But if you dont want to spend that much, Fujitsu is also a great brand. It got very high scores recently.

The macbooks are currently the best computers on the market imo. But that comes with a price. They come with the fastest processors made, the Intel core 2 duo. They can run OSX, currently the best and most advanced OS on the market. And the new version of OSX "Leopard" will be coming out in spring, which I have read about, and it will blow vista away. Plus you can run XP on any intel based mac aka the macbooks.

You get the best of both worlds, the most advanced operating system, and the best operating system for doing whatever you want. Vista will not have the same flexibility XP has because MS doesnt want people to break the law, which in turn kills all the best legal uses for a computer. Like putting DVD's on your HDD.

A macbook is the best way to go. I am getting one in the spring for college.

that's a stability element and relies upon what you like. a computer is the biggest gadget, yet a working laptop or computing gadget isnt as stable. once you're finding to clutter with video and sound courses or something resourceful/musical then a Mac is extra advantageous than a homestead windows computer. A Macs different key benefit is there are a loss of viruses for them so as that they are actually not likely to get contaminated A homestead windows computer is defiantly extra advantageous for gaming by a techniques for overall performance and high quality, in spite of the undeniable fact that laptops especially gaming laptops are sluggish. while you're purely surfing the internet I propose getting as low value as conceivable a working laptop or computing gadget. once you're finding to do programming and coding for web site layout and such, a Mac can provide some reward a homestead windows computer does not. i've got not appeared at Linux very lots yet purely pay attention sturdy issues different than I pay attention its puzzling to apply I desire homestead windows, yet there's an excellent debate over that's extra advantageous.

I would highly suggest the Apple MacBook or MacBook Pro, but you would have to also buy Windows XP to play most games. This makes for a rather large investment, but the Apples are far and away the best computers.

It really depends on how much you have to spend. For a gaming laptop, I would recommend an Alienware Area-51 m5790, but those can get very pricey. If you are looking for lower price, then go with a Dell XPS laptop.

The most expensive one. It's really a matter of preference.
go to dell.com and build your own pc. then go to other sites like futureshop.com or bestbuy.ca or whatever computer site is available where you are. do a price comparison then go from there. I'd prefer apple only because they are quite popular now a days. Dell seem to have great offers too.
