OMG, what are doing with BOTH a 15 month old and a suede couch?!

Use suede cleaner, then cover that thing up w/ a king-size combortor for the next decade!!!!!

Suede is very different from other materials and special care has to be taken when cleaning suede.

Wet cleaning is not recommended because the surface of suede is open and all it will do is absorb the cleaner along with any dirt and draw the dirt further in and spread.

The best thing to use is a suede brush which will help lift the nap and then if use a nubuck cloth. This will clean anything on the surface.

Stains which are already in the leather will be impossible to remove.

You should always use a good waterproof protector which will help dirt and stains from setting in.

It sounds like your 15 month old needs a sippie cup and get rid of the bottle....or....don't let her drink a bottle on your couch anymore. My thoughts were...when my kids were able to walk and able to ask for things like "ba-ba" (bottle) they were too big for a bottle.

I hope your couch isn't ruined, especially with it being brand new, but get used to things getting ruined. LOL. I learned the hard way with my first child. After that, we had that same old, stained up couch, covered up because it was so embarrassing, until they had a drivers license, a job and were rarely at home.

Suede is still very rare on suites and will have cost you a lot of money. First thing to do is check that it really is suede as there are a lot of imitation ones on the market that really do look like suede. If it is a fabric it can be cleaned in the same way as a fabric.

If it really is suede and no protector has been used then it will be impossible to get the stains out. Leather can only be cleaned on the surface and anything that has soaked in will be impossible to remove.

You should also use a good protector (like waterstop) on a regular basis to inhibit things from soaking in. Also use a nubuck cloth or brass brush to keep the surface clean.

You can try using a flannelette cloth dampened with warm water and white vinegar. Gently stroke the area so as to blend. Do not rub.
If this doesn't work, I would suggest that you call in a professional to clean it as anything you will use to try to spot clean it will result in white rings.
