I just reinstalled The Sims 2 and I'm wondering how you put the downloads into the actual game. I understand you have to create your own downloads folder (I just created a file and named it "Downloads", if I'm wrong, please tell me). I've put the downloads into the folder, I just don't know what to do next. If anybody could help me out or link me to a tutorial, it would be appreciated :).
Thanks.

Put the folder in MyDocuments>EaGames>The Sims 2>(Put folder here)

Then you must enable them in game in the menu, then restart the game

make sure that the downloads folder is in the sims 2 folder under my documents. once you do that you should see the stuff in the game when you create a new character etc.

Do you mean how to add the extra add-ons you can download for Sims 2?

If you mean custom content, you should just be able to double click on the icon and it will install automatically. You must enable custom content in the game for it to show in the catalogs.
