I want to purchase some items on ebay. When you put in the final bid, does that mean it "will" go for that price? Or does the seller have the right to refuse it? I see the same thing for between 200 to 5000. Just different sellers and different kinds. And when you put a bid in, do they contact you by e-mail or phone? If you are the one to get it that is.

Your final bid is the highest amount you will pay for the item you are bidding on. The seller can refuse any bid, however this rarely happens. Sellers want to make money. Make sure you ask specific questions about the quality of the item. That factor is the primary variable at determining the "sell" price. Look at a seller's feedback, the closer to 100%, the better for purchasing from!! Remember, the item you are bidding on usually increases in price dramatically in the final few minutes of the auction. Catching the end of the auction is crucial if you want to win a certain item!!! Ebay e-mails you whenever you win an item!!! Good luck!!!!

That's your maximum bid- if someone outbids the amount it shows, it will automatically rebid unless it reaches the max. Sellers can't refuse a price, and they usually contact you by email.
